Eva Grayzel’s journey as an artist began in 5th grade. Instead of running a lemonade stand, she crafted face pins from dough, hand-painted them, and adorned them with feathers and beads to sell to family and friends. She expanded her creations to include ribbon barrettes, quite popular at the time. In high school, she worked for a leather bag designer and turned scrap leather into collages that still decorate her parents’ homes. While in college, she collected intriguing discarded items from NYC streets to create found-object art. During the Covid pandemic, Eva transformed her food into playful faces, bringing joy and lifting spirits.
