Bio:
Eva Grayzel is a vivacious Master Storyteller, performing professionally for 20 yrs. Her unique interactive style has taken her world-wide. It's ironic that at the age of 33, Eva was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on the lateral tongue. As a stage IV, she endured a partial tongue reconstruction, a modified radical neck dissection, and a maximum dose of radiation therapy.
Her exceptional recovery allowed her to broaden her repertoire to include presentations on finding strength from adversity in which she frames her lecture with inspirational folklore that mesmerizes her audiences.
In 1999, Eva founded The Red Balloon Group, a non-profit org, devoted to raising awareness about contributing constructively to the support network of those battling illness.
In 2003, she contacted the ADA with the desire to help educate healthcare professionals and the general public about oral cancer. She was a keynote speaker at the national ADA conference that year, and since lectured at several medical conferences, dental schools, and pharmaceutical companies.
In 2005, she began her own oral cancer awareness campaign called "The Sextet Screening: Six Steps to a Thorough Oral Cancer Screening" winning a prestigious award from the Am Academy of Oral Medicine.
